When a chance encounter between a squad of Hitler's elite SS troops and a band of gypsies ends in slaughter, the Nazis take a man named Janos Kaldy into custody for the killings. Novel that was eventually rewritten into the novel Mark of the Werewolf. This book was a great depiction of a werewolf's life and doesn't have some of those corny superstitions like other werewolf books or movies. This is the first book I read by Jeffrey Sackett but now I am tempted to read another one. I won't let this one out of the house again, that's how good it was! A compelling read. I lent my copy out never to see it again, it took me almost two years to find another. The unique way the author re-origins the werewolf is a reverse angle that will keep you turning the pages quickly. One of the most enjoyable reads I've had in years. The seams of this book are too narrow to be scanned. Mark of the Werewolf, a book about an ancient werewolf, a racist nazi-like organization, and people who value life more than faith, is an original and highly impressive story.
